A three hour road trip to one of my all time favorite bookstores, 

The Illiad

Located in the outskirts of Hollywood, CA, this used bookstore is the best jewel I have found in California.  Actively staffed with knowledgeable, helpful people and a focus on literary works -- well, there goes the tax refund.

But look at my haul!  Autographed copies by Richard Matheson, Walter Mosley, Margaret Atwood; first editions ...

I'll resurface in a couple months
